Blockchain A public ledger run by many computers. It records transactions in a way that’s hard to tamper with.
Burn Permanent removal of tokens from circulation. Used to reduce supply when you spend in app.
CEFR Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. A1 to C2 levels that define skill milestones.
DAO Decentralized Autonomous Organization, a token-holder governance model. YAP does not use a DAO.
DEX Decentralized exchange where users trade tokens through smart contracts, not a central company.
Digital Wallet An app that holds your tokens and keys. Lets you send, receive, and view balances.
Emissions Planned release of new tokens over time. Keeps rewards predictable and within budget.
Gas Fee Network fee paid to record a transaction on chain. YAP covers gas for in-app actions.
Governance How protocol settings change over time. YAP uses a timelocked multisig, not token voting.
KMS (Key Management Service) Secure system that creates and stores cryptographic keys. Protects keys used for encryption and signing.
Know Your Customer (KYC) Identity checks that confirm you are a real person and eligible to use the app. Higher earning tiers may require phone verification, government ID, and a live selfie. This reduces fraud and meets local legal requirements.
Learn-to-Earn Finish verified lessons, earn tokens. Incentives match practice, not screen time.

Offchain Data or processing handled on private servers for speed and cost. Examples, AI scoring and raw audio.
Onchain Data or actions written to the blockchain. Examples, lesson proofs, burns, and treasury splits.
Oracle A service that provides price data to smart contracts. YAP uses rolling averages with safety checks.
Permit (Gasless Approval) A signed message that authorizes token movement without you paying gas from your wallet.
Smart Contract Code that runs on a blockchain and enforces rules automatically, like rewards and spending logic.
Staking Locking tokens for access, events, or added utility. In YAP, it powers competitions and quests.
