Overview

YAP is a speaking-first language app that pays you to learn. Last updated December 15th, 2025.

YAP issues a native utility token that rewards real speaking practice and funds verifiable, on-chain Proof-of-Language-Learning, or PoLL.

Learners earn YAP when lessons pass AI grading and cryptographic liveness checks, and institutions buy PoLL attestations for hiring and credentialing. Tokens buy premium learning features, live AI conversation minutes, pronunciation deep dives, staking for higher attestations, and governance rights. Importantly, YAP covers all learner gas by using a low-cost rollup and a Paymaster/relayer model, so users never need to touch crypto to earn or spend.

Every rewarded interaction must clear three gates: structural correctness, cryptographic liveness, and AI fluency scoring. Rewards are deterministic and auditable, computed from a base amount adjusted by difficulty, improvement, retention, verification tier, and epoch decay. Tokens reenter the economy when spent on product sinks, and a configurable share of institutional and premium fees finances buybacks and burns to offset issuance.

Fairness and anti-abuse are built in, not optional. Users start with conservative daily and weekly caps, higher trust levels unlock higher ceilings, and defenses include single-claim per lesson, device and IP limits, short transfer locks, automated anomaly detection, and slashing of staked tokens for proven fraud. Rewards are budgeted hourly and subject to a soft-landing algorithm that scales payouts down under extreme demand instead of abruptly cutting learners off.

Technically, proofs of completion, reward triggers, burns, and treasury splits are recorded on-chain while AI speech analysis, scoring, and privacy-sensitive processing remain off-chain. Voice data is never written to the chain and is stored under strict privacy controls. Wallet setup is abstracted behind email and phone onboarding, with optional self-custody when users want it, and oracle feeds smooth reward purchasing power against market moves.

We roll out token utility in phases: beta PoLL validation, token launch and primary sinks, staking and institutional integrations, then on-chain governance and full transparency (treasury dashboard and audits). The result is a practical learning system that pays learners for measurable practice, gives institutions trustable credentials, and recycles spending back into content and growth so incentives scale with real demand.
